The children in the middle and Senior rooms had a visit from Edel Heeran last week to learn about biodiversity in our school grounds. They went on a nature trail identifying local plants,flowers and minibeasts. They were fascinated by some of the facts and knowledge Edel imparted to them. Who knew that a daisy is in fact made of about 50 flowers??? Or that wild ivy changes its leaf shape as it grows???
